The Signature Hybrid is available in three firmness levels: medium soft (4), medium firm (6), and firm (8). Performance for the Signature Hybrid depends largely on your selected firmness level. The medium soft model was most popular among the side sleepers on our testing team who weigh up to 230 pounds, as well as back sleepers under 130 pounds. Medium firm models earned the most favorable ratings from back and stomach sleepers between 130 to 230 pounds. Lastly, the firm Signature Hybrid fared best with back and stomach sleepers who weigh at least 130 pounds.
The Layla Hybrid suited most of our testers across body types and sleeping positions thanks to the reversible design. The firm side was more popular among our testers who weigh more than 230 pounds, who experience better spinal alignment and support for their hips and shoulders with a thinner comfort layer. Meanwhile, testers below 230 pounds appreciated the deep pressure-relieving cradle of the medium side. The zoned polyfoam transitional layer and pocketed coils support the heavier areas of your body, such as the hips and shoulders, while cushioning your head and neck.
Hybrid mattresses tend to be most popular among people who value bounce in a mattress, including couples and combination sleepers. People over 230 pounds often appreciate a sturdy hybrid construction that supports the body without too much sink. Minimal heat retention by coils also makes hybrids a winner for if you tend to sleep hot.
Abstract: Featured ApplicationPhysiotherapy in football, designing programs for injury prevention, goalkeeping coaching. AbstractKnowledge and research about football goalkeeper (GK) injuries are scarce, which prevents the development of evidence-based injury prevention programs. Fortunately, progress is evident in injury prevention strategies in outfield football players. However, a GK fulfills a unique role, and an injured GK can substantially impact a team. Thus, there is a need to clarify and summarize current knowledge concerning football goalkeeper pain and injuries. This narrative review aims to present the best-evidence synthesis of knowledge about football GK injuries and pain, their type, location, and incidence. A secondary aim is to contrast these findings with outfield players and identify knowledge gaps. Scientific databases were searched for the following indexed terms: goalkeeper, injury, soccer, and football. Original papers, including case studies and systematic reviews published from August 1994 to March 2021, were screened for relevance using a priori criteria and reviewed. Commonly described injuries are fractures, luxation and dislocations in the fingers, hand and wrist. The quadriceps femoris and forearms muscles are the most frequently described muscle and tendon injuries. Further, football GK injuries differ in type, location, and incidence compared to outfield players. Whether GKs suffer fewer injuries than players in other positions, whether GK suffer more injuries in training than matches, and whether they sustain more upper limb injuries comparing to field players is still unclear and controversial. Few studies assess pain, and current data point to the development of hip and groin, thigh, knee, arm and forearm pain resulting from training and match play. Due to the crucial role of GK in the football team, it is recommended to use the injury burden as a parameter considering the number and time-loss of injuries in future studies. Keywords: goalkeeper; injury; pain; soreness; football; soccer; muscle; tendon; fracture; luxation
Cammile Adams: The Speedo Pure Valor is a very comfortable suit and I really liked the simplicity of design in the all black color -- which is a bit of my personal preference in design. It was extremely easy to put on and Pure Valor fit great. I wore a size 28 for reference. This suit is very comfortable and has some compression, but not overly so. The straps are extremely comfortable. The suit molds well to the hips and chest. This suit took me 10 minutes to put on the first time and 5-8 minutes the second time. The Speedo Pure Valor also feels better and molds to the body with more wears like most of the elite suits tested.Julie Stupp: As I mentioned in the other Speedo review, the Pure Valor is designed for more flexibility, but it shares the same silhouette and fit characteristics and also comes in the open and closed back. Again, I tried the size 28 and it was the right size for me. Given that they are two different suits, it's amazing how similar the fits are with Pure Valor featuring the same great leg length, high-neck cut and ultra-comfortable precision straps. The improvement on the straps is always a welcome change and I found their adjustments to be spot on. Speedo straps are really the best in the business and it shows here.
Tokyo 2021 is just around the corner! Swimmers, coaches and suit companies alike are starting to feel the pressure, excitement and competition build. As most fans begin to eye the Summer Games, the manufacturers have long been preparing for the release of their new technical suits for 2019 and even 2020. Many painstaking hours of research and development must take place for these suits to be perfect and competition-ready. This year's tech suits are phenomenal and reflect small changes of technological advancement while holding steadfast in the tried and true foundations of fast swimming technology of the past. For the first time in seven years, Mark and I were lucky enough to have two current National Team members join us in reviewing the latest tech suit launches.

During the 17th and 18th centuries (and earlier), duels were mostly single combats fought with swords (the rapier and later the small sword), but beginning in the late 18th century in England, duels were more commonly fought using pistols. Fencing and shooting continued to co-exist throughout the 19th century.
In Western society, the formal concept of a duel developed out of the medieval judicial duel and older pre-Christian practices such as the Viking Age holmgang. In medieval society, judicial duels were fought by knights and squires to end various disputes.[7][8] Countries such as France, Germany, England, and Ireland practiced this tradition. Judicial combat took two forms in medieval society, the feat of arms and chivalric combat.[7] The feat of arms was used to settle hostilities between two large parties and supervised by a judge. The battle was fought as a result of a slight or challenge to one party's honor which could not be resolved by a court. Weapons were standardized and typical of a knight's armoury, for example longswords, polearms etc.; however, weapon quality and augmentations were at the discretion of the knight, for example, a spiked hand guard or an extra grip for half-swording. The parties involved would wear their own armour; for example, one knight wearing full plate might face another wearing chain mail. The duel lasted until one party could no longer fight back. In early cases, the defeated party was then executed. This type of duel soon evolved into the more chivalric pas d'armes, or \"passage of arms\", a chivalric hastilude that evolved in the late 14th century and remained popular through the 15th century. A knight or group of knights (tenans or \"holders\") would stake out a travelled spot, such as a bridge or city gate, and let it be known that any other knight who wished to pass (venans or \"comers\") must first fight, or be disgraced.[9] If a traveling venans did not have weapons or horse to meet the challenge, one might be provided, and if the venans chose not to fight, he would leave his spurs behind as a sign of humiliation. If a lady passed unescorted, she would leave behind a glove or scarf, to be rescued and returned to her by a future knight who passed that way.
Reports of dueling gained in popularity in the first half of the 19th century especially in the South and the states of the Old Southwest. However, it is very important to note that in this regional context, the term dueling had severely degenerated from its original
