Questions
Short answers to what we're asked most — and the page on this site where the detail lives.
- How does my prescription get to the pharmacy?
- Four ways: your doctor sends it directly, you bring the paper, you switch from another pharmacy (we make the call), or you refill by phone with the prescription number on the label. Details are on the Your Rx page.
- Can I send a photo of my prescription by email or social media?
- No. For now your prescription reaches us by phone, in person, or straight from your doctor. Email and social media aren't set up for health information on this site.
- Do you accept controlled-substance prescriptions as a photo or copy?
- No — Puerto Rico law is strict: those prescriptions only arrive as an e-prescription sent by your doctor or as the original signed paper. A photo or a copy doesn't work, no matter who sends it.
- How do I switch from another pharmacy to Carimas?
- Call us with your name, your current pharmacy's name, and the medications you pick up there. We make the call and handle the transfer.
- Do you deliver medications?
- Yes — free delivery, in town. Call your pharmacy to arrange it.
- Is there a Carimas pharmacy in Loíza?
- Yes: Carr. 188, Km 0.8, Loíza. Phone (787) 957-8053. Hours: Mon–Sat 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- What should I have handy when I call?
- Your full name and date of birth; the prescription number on the bottle label if you're refilling; and your health-plan card.
- Can I ask health questions through this site?
- No — that's what your pharmacist is for, by phone or in person. Your call ends with a person: an employee, your pharmacist, or the owner.
- How is my information handled?
- The full privacy notice is published on this site. The site itself collects no personal or health information and uses a single functional cookie to remember your language.
- Do I need an account or an app?
- No. This entire site works without accounts, apps, or forms that send your data. Anything that really matters is one phone call away.
